Why Advocate?

Advocacy is making sure the right people hear your voice before they make decisions that will impact you—and everyone else. When we use facts and consistent messages, our voices get stronger. The CSC advocates to:

    • Protect Inherent and Treaty rights and water sovereignty.
    • Change policies that impact First Nations Peoples’ wellbeing and health.
    • Protect Mother Nature’s resources for future generations.

What’s in the Toolkit?

You don’t need to start from scratch. We are continuing to build out materials to support advocacy work at the grassroots:

    • Template Letters: Ready-to-use drafts you can send to Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) or Members of Parliament (MPs).
    • Talking Points: Clear, punchy speaking points for meetings or conversations within your own communities and Nations.
    • Social Media Assets: Graphics and post ideas for Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

How to Get Started

You don’t need to start from scratch. We are continuing to build out materials to support advocacy work at the grassroots:

1. Make it yours: Add your specific details to our templates and hit send (or keep it the same – whatever works for you!).
2. Act on it: Send that email, post that graphic, or book that meeting.
